Friends of Honeysett Pond Volunteer Group

Donation protected
Hi! We are the Friends of Honeysett Pond volunteers. Honeysett Pond is a lovely spot next to the Jerrabomberra Wetlands, and a group of hardworking volunteers have been clearing the site of overgrowth in order to enhance the area's natural beauty. This project is about beautifying the area for all of our local Kingston community to enjoy. It will provide a habitat for local birdlife, bees and frogs. So far, our generous donors have given us funds for earth-moving equipment. We have reached our original goal of $6000 through this site plus a separate account - a fabulous total of $6300. We are now seeking money that will be put towards the purchase of native shrubs. We are expecting a wet summer that will ensure a good start to the garden's development. Native shrubs can be expensive, averaging from $15 to $30, and we are hoping to raise $1500 to achieve our goal. Please donate if you can and pass on this link to those who may be interested. If you have any contacts that may be able to provide discounted plants, we would love to hear from you.
