Help with a wheelchair accessible van.

Hello, my name is Debbie Brewer. I know a young man, Emilson, who is physically disabled. He uses an electric wheelchair to get around. Emilson is a friendly young man with a smile on his face every day. He is completely dependent on others except getting around in his electric wheelchair. He is cognitively aware of his limitations, and this made him sad/cry Monday, 10/23. He is aware of his surroundings and his peers can access the community in a way he cannot. Emilson would love to be able to access the community with his family. His family has a vehicle, but the vehicle is not wheelchair accessible. They can take him to the doctor, but it is a lot of wear and tear on him. His access to the community is limited due to the physical strain he must endure when he goes out. Emilson wants to be independent as much as he can be and if he had a van with a ramp, this would help him be able to go to the store, get his hair cut (someone come to his house to cut his hair), out to eat, shop for his clothes and all the other things that his typical peers can and loves to do. He would LOVE to be able to go places with his family.
