Mj’s Surgery

Hello friends and Family, 

It is with great sadness that I inform you our eldest dog MJ has been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer.

She recently developed a lump on the back of her neck that started to grow rapidly. We made an appointment at the vet where they examined her and did a fine-needle aspirate cytology to determine what it might be. (Total coming out to over $200) Unfortunately, it was confirmed to be cancerous. 

The next steps are to figure out what form of cancer it is to take better precautions. They do this by taking a piece of the lump out and testing it, however, the vet has recommended that we remove the lump entirely. 

This could not have came at a worse time with everything that is going on in the world right
now. I have been out of work since March and with talks of a new shut down it doesn’t look 
like we are going back anytime soon. I am also a full-time student and attend class everyday making it hard to find even a part-time job. The surgery will be pricey, but needs to be done for my baby. 

Although I am sure that this is not something fatal to Mj, I don’t want her in any kind of discomfort. Those of you who know me and nick have more than likely had the opportunity of meeting our dogs and know that they mean the world to us. We have had MJ since she was a days old. We are asking for donations in helping with the finance of the surgery, anything helps and no donation is too small.
