On October 29, 2024, my dad rode the bus to the hospital because of chest pains and he couldn’t breathe. Once there he was admitted because of the severity of the findings. After being in the hospital for a couple of days, he was advised that there was a mass in his throat which was causing him to have trouble breathing. At that time my dad was told that he had Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer, and it had already spread all over his body, which is never good news for anyone to hear.

My dad was a fighter and felt that he could fight this battle all alone. He never told a soul up to the date of death, which has saddened so many who loved him.

On December 1, 2024, I was notified that my dad was in the hospital and that he wasn’t going to make it. This caused my heart to stop. Just seeing my dad laying in that hospital bed lifeless, made me wish I could turn back the hands of time. If I could only see that smile one more time.

On December 2, 2024, unfortunately my dad lost his battle to Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer, which has left us all heartbroken and in disbelief. My dad had no insurance and is left up to me to plan and pay for is funeral.

I ask that you find it in your heart to assist with raising funds to help pay for funeral cost; my dad was loved by everyone he met. It's essential to give my dad a proper homegoing, which he deserves.
