HELP MONICA FIGHT BREAST CANCER

Hi, my name is Marcella(Cella), and I am fundraising for my dear sister, Monica, who was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. As you can imagine, this news has been heartbreaking for everyone near and dear to her.

Those of you who know Monica, know that her smile can light up a room and her laugh and positive energy is contagious! Even though she is my younger sister, I look up to her for her courage, faith, perseverance, and strength! She is a loving wife to her husband Rocky, a supportive mom to her grown children Justin, Felicia, Andrew and Kainoa, and an awesome grandma to Jaydin, Luana and Eliana! For me…she’s not just my sister…she’s my sounding board, my partner in crime, and my best friend.

Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), accounts for 10-15% of all breast cancers. TNBC differs from other types of invasive breast cancer in that it is more aggressive, harder to treat, and more likely to come back.

Since her initial diagnosis, they have found two additional masses and eight suspicious lymph nodes in her left breast. A PET scan was done to see if the cancer had spread to any other body part, and thankfully it had not.

Her current treatment plan calls for her to undergo 6 months of intensive weekly chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation, followed by surgery and additional chemo treatments for another 6 months.
