Help Cow Dog Recover After His Accident

Hi from Billie, Phoenix & Cow Dog!

For more information (in a much more interesting format) on Cow and his recovery please head to this link (which includes pictures and video): https://www.goodsquish.com/collections/all-our-squish/products/the-cow-dog-squish

Recently, Cow Dog, our boisterous, weird and wonderful whippet, had an accident while running in the park, which led to a serious leg injury and the amputation of one of his rear toes. After three surgeries, negative pressure wound therapy, a countless number of vet visits, and lots of antibiotics, he’s now well on the road to recovery, thanks to the incredible care from Rebecca at Medivet and Ed at Davies Veterinary Specialists.

Unfortunately, the medical costs have gone far beyond what our insurance could cover, and we’ve been left with significant vet bills. To help with these costs, we’ve created a special edition Cow Dog Squish where 100% of proceeds will go directly to cover his medical expenses.

If you’d like to support Cow’s recovery, you can either purchase a Squish on our site (Good Squish) or donate directly here.

All proceeds will go to Cow's medical bills.

Watch the video to see Cowie's story, he loves you so much he'll see you at the next pop-up with his lovely foot we appreciate it so sosososso much!

Some words from Cow below if you prefer a story:

A squish for me (Cow Dog!)

Last month, I was having the BEST time running around Finsbury Park when — OUCH — I got into a big accident and hurt my back leg. My parents rushed me to the vet (I don’t know why they always take me there, even though I never like going!!). The vet humans were nice and gave me treats, but the next thing I knew, I fell asleep… and woke up missing a WHOLE toe! (I have no idea where it went — I definitely need to ask mum next time we go to the park).

After that, my leg got super itchy, and I had to visit the vet almost every day. My parents said it was because of an infection (all I know is I REALLY wanted to lick it). They tried lots of different colored treats, but the infection wouldn’t go away. After a second surgery (which I didn’t enjoy at all), my parents took me to see a super nice (and very tall) man called Ed at Davies Vet Specialists. Ed was great, but I had to stay there for 3 whole days while they did a third surgery and put a weird sleeve on my leg (apparently it was called “negative pressure therapy,” whatever that means). I was SO happy when my parents finally came to take me home.

Now, I’m feeling much better and showing my parents some of my attitude again. They keep sneaking gross medicine into my treats, but I don’t mind too much because the treats are tasty. In a couple of weeks, I’ll be fully healed, and we’re going to the BEACH! I can’t wait to run as fast as I can again!

So here’s the thing — all those surgeries and vet trips cost my parents an arm and a leg (well, actually just MY toe!), and our insurance was maxed out early on after the first surgery. So, I thought I’d help out by making a special COW DOG Squish to raise money for the vet bills and to fund my treat and running addiction. It would mean the whole WORLD to me and my family!

Lots of woof,
Cow Dog
