McDowell Family

As many of you know by now, James McDowell passed unexpectedly on August 1. His wife, kids, and family are feeling emotions that I cant even begin to understand. Everyone that knew him loved him!! You couldn't help not too ❤ His smile and laughter was infectious!!!
I have been with my best friend, his wife, for the last 24 hours and she is finding a way to laugh through the tears. I truly believe that his way of reminding her that he will always be with her through every tear and every laugh.
Valerie is currently in Nursing School and was is struggling with the idea of finishing her last two semesters for her degree, but she knows thats what would have wanted her to do and somehow, someway I know she will do it for him! She has received an outpouring of love from everyone in thoughts, prayers, calls, messages, food.....but James was the sole income in their home. In listening to her talk and make sense of thoughts and things she needs to do, her one constant is HOW she is supposed to pay bills, buy basic necessities and that do all that while trying to grieve and fulfill her promise to him of finishing school. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I know in my heart that she has a VILLAGE of love and support surrounding her. Any donation no matter how great or small I know will be appreciated.
