My name is Jessie Sun and I'm a senior from Watchung Hills Regional High School in New Jersey who was recently accepted onto the U.S. U20 Women's National Ultimate team. This summer, I will be traveling to Wroclaw, Poland to play against international teams for the World Ultimate Junior Championships. Now with this honor comes a lot of expenses like traveling to practices, housing, food, and actually making it to Poland that can be pretty extensive and hard to come by in such a short amount of time. With that, please help and support me in pursuing what I love to do most by donating. Any amount can go a long way and is extremely appreciated.
Ultimate has been an extreme passion of mine ever since I joined my high school team in freshman year. Despite the fact that it is a new sport and barely recognized, I've learned a lot of skills that aren't all athletic and it has been the biggest factor in my growth as a person. What I love most about ultimate frisbee is that it is unique from other sports, emphasizing not only sportsmanship but also spirit of the game. In the end, ultimate is a loving community. It's a sport that encourages friendship and improvement, regardless of which team you're on. I've made so many friends trying out for the national team this year and I really look forward to representing the country while doing something I love with the right kinds of people on the international stage. I am forever thankful for my coaches, my teammates, my family, and anyone who supported me and my passion for a piece of plastic these last four years. Your encourgement has gotten me to this point and I could not have achieved this high honor without your help. Please help send me to Wroclaw, Poland so that I can experience the international successes of this incredible sport with the most incredible people and players!
