Help My Mom with Breast Cancer
Donation protected
My Mom, Terrilyn, is an incredible and selfless person. From her time as Executive Director of CityServe Arizona where she was the Organizer for HopeFest Phoenix where tens of thousands of People received free medical, dental, clothing, haircuts, food, tax advice, immigration services, etc, etc....she has always remained humble. Soft Spoken. Forever holding the needs of others above her own.
She would never ask for this, but she needs some help.
Let me explain:
She is currently going through Chemo for breast cancer. In a few weeks she will have a double mastectomy. And her house has been ripped apart and she is essentially without a home to call her own.
What we had planned to be simple aesthetic bathroom remodel became a black mold hunt, collapsed pipe hunt, shocked-it-hadn't-burnt-down-already and the entire home electrical needs redone...to black mold infested kitchen cabinets need gutted, and more plumbing problems.
Our family and friends have rallied and done a ton of work ourselves, my older brother pulled out what funds he could with a refinance but we are still $5300 over budget due to the major plumbing and electrical issues. Work that need's done by a licensed professional.
These funds will also allow us to speed up the project and get it done ASAP.
Her surgery will be on October 25th 2018, or 34 days from this writing. What we are working hard toward is to give her home back so she can recover in a place that clean, bright, and functioning properly.
Terrilyn raised four high energy ADHD boys (we did our best to drive her crazy), she endured hardships, and through it all she kept her eyes fixed on hope and persevered.
She gets cancer, is going through chemo, has her home torn apart....and yet she smiles. She rejoices in the day.
Anything you can do to help is amazing!
And a blessing she has a hard time accepting.
She is always looking for someone who needs it more than her....
But this time its for you Mom!
If her story has resonated with you please share it with your friends on Facebook or wherever!
We still have some work coming up that can be done by unskilled volunteer labor at the home. Please reach out to me if you would like to help in anyway!
Sincerely,
Tyler with Travis, Eric, and Aaron.
