Help Laura recover

Hi, my name is Steven and I’m trying to help my friend Laura Wood raise money to help her recover from a devastating injury that happened to her on February 27, 2024.

That morning Laura was out walking her dog, went to cross the street when she accidentally stepped on a manhole cover that wasn’t secured in place. The manhole cover rotated and Laura’s leg fell in to the hole. As Laura tried to save herself from falling down completely into the hole she was able to catch herself with her hand but in one sudden moment at the fraction of a second as she was trying to brace herself the 100 pound manhole cover rotated and came crashing down on her hand and chopped off the tip of her right index finger just past her fingernail.

Laura has worked in the service industry for the past 36 years. During that time she has always tended to customers with her radiant beautiful smile and caring personality always willing to listen to her customers on how their day was going or what was troubling them, many of whom had become regulars at whatever establishment she worked at mainly because of her caring personality towards others and her way of making people feel special.

Due to the severity of her injury, this has left Laura unable to work ever since. Being in the service industry - she’s missed out on her peak money making season that usually happens at the end of winter and beginning of spring and summer. To make matters worse this injury happened right when she was getting ready to relocate out of state and was looking forward to the peak season to help her financially with her move.

Laura has never been one to ask people for help. She’s always been one to show kindness and compassion to others.

Let us help her to try and recover her expenses with her rent and car payment and bills that keep coming so she can concentrate on healing so she can show us that beautiful smile of hers again real soon.
