Michael Figueiredo's Funeral

My name is Jenn Figueiredo, and I am Michael Figueiredo's sister.  He passed away October 2nd early morning. For those who knew my brother, he was 27 years old and he was the most caring and friendly person. His heart was bigger then ever, and he wanted no harm for anyone.  He suffered for many years, he was diagnosed with schitzophrenia 4 years ago, and has been struggling through these few years severely. My mother has tried her hardest to get him help, she had him put in hospitals but it never worked.. No one can understand what he was going through and it breaks my heart to know how much he suffered. This doesnt seem real to me yet and I am traumitized with what happened Friday morning, and this is very hard for me to share because it is personal but I am willing to tell everyone so my family and I can get the help we need for his funeral....  I went home to my moms friday morning at noon to get some clothes, and as I opened my room door he was laying on my bed with his legs hanging off. I said to him "hey what are you doing, its noon when are you going to wake up?" and he never answered me.  I looked through the reflection of my closet mirror and noticed his face was different. I walked up to him stood face to face with him and began to panick as I seen his lips dark purple and his face blue. I touched his chest to wake him up and there was no heart beat and he was cold as ice. I panicked, i screamed I called my mom told her something is wrong. As she rushed home, I called 911. They told me to lift him off the bed and onto the floor, I grabbed his arm and upper body trying my hardest but screaming crying because i knew he was dead. As i was trying to place him on the ground his head tilted sideways on the bed and dark liquids started to flow rapidly out of his mouth. I let him go and broke down. My mom came in the room, panicking she knew right away she was pounding on his chest several times, shaking him asking him to wake up but he was gone.. I noticed in his hand a bag of a substance, it was a white/beige-ish ball of something. As police, paramedics and fire department came they told us within a few seconds he was dead for a few hours. We waited and waited from noon until 9pm for the forensic unit and corner to come, they did theyre investagations and took my brother away in a body bag. Today, Saturday the autopsy showed, no cause of death. It was merely overdose on whatever that substance was. I am completely distraught with what I saw.  My mother, my little brother and I are in a wreck and are more then likely going to need counceling after this because this is too much to bare with. We are arranging the funeral starting tomorrow, and I will post all info for the funeral service when I know. It's going to cost us about $20,000 but we need anything we can to help out because noone is prepared for someones death. No parent should have to bury their child. I am so in shock because every few minutes the image of what I walked into and witnessed replays in my head and breaks me in half. I wish I could have saved my brother, I wish there was something we could have done but God didnt want him to suffer anymore, he wasnt meant to live the life he did. I miss him so much, he mightve been sick but he was human too he had feelings too. One day i WILL see you, and i will hold your hand and never let you leave me again. Watch over us please Michael, my precious angel. i will always think about you every day until its my day to be with you. I love you, My guardian angel. Rest in Peace.
