Help Me Support My Family

My name is Jaafar, a 24-year-old computer engineer from Gaza City. I graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in August 2023, just two months before the start of the war. I live with my parents and siblings, and we were accustomed to a peaceful, happy, and fulfilling life in our home. My father worked tirelessly to build our house, but due to the devastating conflict and the relentless aggression, our home was severely damaged. We have lost not only much of our property but also lives, turning our once-secure existence into a nightmare.

As you can see, this first picture shows the administration building of my university before the war. It has been completely destroyed. I’ve also included some photos from my graduation day, a time of great pride and joy that now feels like a distant memory.

Throughout the war, we were displaced from our home multiple times. Each return brought a heartbreaking revelation of the extensive destruction that had been inflicted upon our house and the surrounding area. In an effort to adapt and find some stability, we attempted to build a makeshift room atop the remains of our home

The houses shown in the previous photos, including ours, were owned by our neighbors. Many of them are now displaced in the south and are unable to return to check on their homes. All of these properties have been reduced to rubble.

This is my family home. The picture speaks for itself, conveying the depth of the loss in a way that words cannot fully express.

Regarding our work, I was interning at a software company, which was completely destroyed. Additionally, I worked with my father at the Karam Abu Salim crossing in the trade sector, which provided us with a source of income. Now, with both our job and our company gone, we find ourselves in a state of helplessness and despair, having lost everything we once had.

I used to work with my father at the crossing, transporting goods and fruits to our family's company. However, since the beginning of the war and the subsequent separation of northern Gaza from the south, we lost this job. Our family's company, which was a source of pride and livelihood, was destroyed and burned by the occupation. The images of our company in ruins are a stark reminder of the impact of this conflict on our lives.

In these challenging times, we turn to you with hope and urgency, as your support is crucial for us to rebuild our lives and restore what has been lost.

Our goals that you can help us achieve

1. Evacuation: We need a lot of financial support to evacuate my parents, mom and family members, including fees and passports.

2. Survival: We need enough money to cover daily expenses and medical care for our children due to the high food prices and ongoing infections.

3. Reconstruction: We need to rebuild a house.

4. Replacement of assets: We need to replace the lost property., including laptops, phones, and furniture
