Jabs Gym Eastern Market, post collapsed building

Hi, my name is Armond Harris, owner of Jabs Gym Eastern Market. On Saturday (September 16), at around 11:30am, our building located in the Heart of Detroit's Eastern Market, suddenly, partially collapsed! Thank God all of my team, and all of our members made it out of the building alive!

In most recent news, the City of Detroit has deemed the building uninhabitable, and unfortunately, the building must demolished. More specifically, we will not be able to retrieve any of our equipment or personal belongings.

As you can imagine, we are DEVASTATED! 2501 Russell street has been our home for the past 8 years. Since 2015, we have literally save the lives of thousands through fitness. We have dedicated our lives to the City of Detroit Fitness community and have been a safe space for Detroiters of all ages, shapes, and races. We currently are in battle with our insurance company and we don't know when/if they will cover the cost.

Please consider supporting our efforts to bring our fitness community back to Detroit's Eastern Market as soon as possible.
