Jace's Trip to the Mayo Clinic

Donation protected
How can you describe someone who is incapable of a description? Someone who is the embodiment of what it truly means to be a good person. I am one of CC's coworkers at the school she teaches at. But this isn't about me, it’s about CC and her son Jace.

First, CC is everything a teacher should be. Dedicated to her students, constantly striving to better her teaching, and finding new and inventive ways get students interested in a subject they hate...math. She works longer hours than most. All for the betterment of
the kids she works with. While doing this however, she has been working tirelessly to support, care and help her son, Jace.
Jace is currently a junior in high school. He plays water polo and lacrosse. He also loves being part of the Robotics team.  Jace takes after his father, being a man of few words, and after his mother, being a smart alec.

Jace went from being a stellar student and athlete, to struggling to attend school and play his sports due to debilitating headaches, exhaustion, dizziness, and blurred vision. It is hard to imagine a vibrant teenager so quickly reduced to this level of suffering.  Though he has gone to numerous doctor appointments, seen multiple specialists, and had a variety of testing, no diagnosis has been reached and no attempts at treatment have been successful. Jace is still in pain, and his family still is faced with the pain and frustration of witnessing, this powerless to solve the issue.

In March of this year, CC received word that Jace has been accepted to the Mayo Clinic! On Monday, a cancellation lead to his appointment being set for May 3rd.  Hopefully, the Mayo Clinic  can figure out the underlying cause and get Jace on the road to recovery.

CC and her family need help. It is expensive flying to and from  the Mayo Clinic. Jace may need to be able to lay down during the flight, as his doctors are concerned about his ability to successfully handle a long flight.  Airfare is costly, hotels and medical treatment, everything adds up.

We need to get the funds soon. . The family has already spent several thousand dollars this year on tests and treatment. With Jace's first appointment in May, we hope that you are able to donate now! Many small contributions from Judson staff, West Albany teachers, coaches, and students, and various friends and family could add up to help a family in need. It is everyone’s worst nightmare to have their healthy child become ill without any answers. The Mayo Clinic offers hope!
