Jack Davies Basketball Wales U19's
Donation protected
Our son Jack has been in the Wales Basketball squad since the Under 12's age group, and this season he has again been selected to represent Wales in the Under 19's squad.
Last season Jack played for Wales in the 4 Nation's Tournament against England Ireland & Scotland, he went to Luxembourg with Wales and he has also played for Great Britain in a tournament in Hungary.
There is no greater honour than to play for your country. Unfortunately, players who represent Wales receive no funding from the governing body and have to completely self-fund themselves, which is extremely tough for Student Athletes like Jack . Players have to pay to attend training sessions, training camps, pay for their kit and travel and accommodation costs to play in tournaments both in this country and abroad.
Jack is also a qualified Level 2 Coach and Level 2 Referee and is keen to give something back to the sport as well as inspiring younger players.
This season Jack is one of the Captains of the Wales Under19's team and has been selected in the 12-man squad to go to this season's 4 Nations Tournament in Dundee in April to play against England, Ireland and Scotland. In August Jack will be going to Budapest to play for Wales in a series of games against tough Hungarian opposition.
As you can imagine throughout a season Jack has to find a considerable amount of money to be able to represent his country and pursue his basketball dreams.
We have created this Go Fund me page to try to assist with some of Jack's costs.
If anyone would like to sponsor Jack, he would be very grateful.
kind regards
