Jack Froio Medical Expense Fund
Donation protected
The Froio family of Attleboro, MA had the worst two weeks a family could have. On June 3rd, they lost Jeff - their beloved husband, father, friend, unexpectedly to a cardiac arrest at the age of 52. His wife Kate, and children Jack, 19, Lillian, 16 and Caroline, 14 have endured a sadness and loss that no one was expecting. The family was still reeling from this life altering event when tragedy struck again. That brings us to this GoFundMe page.
On June 9, 2020, Jack’s life changed forever when he was at Scarborough Beach in Narragansett, Rhode Island with his friend. He dove into the water and had a terrible accident. This strong 19 year old young man, suffered a severe spinal cord injury upon impact. Jack was rescued from the water and rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, where just six days earlier his father, Jeff, had passed away.
As Jack was in the Emergency Room, Kate was told that he was thanking the doctors, nurses and chaplain for taking such wonderful care of his father while he was in the same E.R. a week earlier. This is a testament to Jack’s character. He then underwent extensive surgery for his cervical spine C5, and stabilization. At this point, the surgery was a success and he is in recovery with frequent and important updates every 24 hours from doctors.
Jack just finished his Freshman year at Bridgewater State University majoring in Criminal Justice. He is a pledge of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, played football for Attleboro High School, a member of the Faith Alliance Youth Group, attended Foxborough Regional Charter School, and is an avid skateboarder & outdoorsman.
We pray that his strength and determination is both undeniable and unstoppable. He is a young man of great faith in God and believes in a promising future for himself and his family. He exhibited this in his delivery of the Eulogy at his Dad’s funeral three days prior.
The financial implications that follow such an injury are tremendous, and the Froio Family can use all the help possible. All funds raised will provide for medical expenses, rehabilitation, travel, equipment, therapists, and other medical supplies.
Please join us and help begin to ease their financial burden, so they are able to grieve, heal, pray, and solely focus on assisting Jack with his recovery.
