On July 31st East Islip native Jack Glock, class of 2010, was told he had a brain tumor. At 25 years old, and a newly inducted police officer, his life drastically changed. He was serving in Arizona, which has limited access to quality neurosurgeons and as a result he underwent a procedure that left part of the growth still attached to his brain. He made a life changing decision to cut ties with his previous doctor to make the pilgrimage back to Long Island, N.Y. and receive care from the same doctor that recently removed John McCain's tumor. Normally, it's next to impossible to receive care from a surgeon like Dr Schulder, but because of the rarity of his condition, (along with his age) Jack was a prime candidate to squeeze in. This quality healthcare comes with a price, but you can't put a price on a second chance at life.
Collectively, we all can make a difference. Against his will, this page was made to help him ease one more stressor he has before his surgery on Monday, October 30th. Anything helps. In the end, you'd be helping a guy who deserves to live a normal, healthy life.
Thank you all for reading. If you do not have the means to donate, a share would be just as helpful.
