As many of you have heard, Jack Harrington passed away last week after battling a long illness. As you can imagine, the emotional toll on Barb and the family has been extreme. He was so loved by so many. Please consider donating to help the family with the medical expenses that have accumulated.

Harrington, John H. “Jack” age 58 of Lafayette, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday December 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at his home following a long illness. Born in Staten Island, NY he has lived in many places in NJ including Flanders, West Orange and Sparta Township before moving to Lafayette twenty years ago.
A United States Army veteran, Jack had worked for Unilever in Englewood Cliffs, NJ for many years. He was an amazing athlete and loved sports so much he volunteered his time coaching for the Sparta Ice Hockey League, Andover/ Green Township Lacrosse and the Stillwater Little League. Jack was a member of the Branchville Adult Softball League, Sparta Ice Hockey Men’s League as well as the Budd Lake Ice Hockey League.
An avid motorcyclist, Jack loved riding his Harley Davidson with his loving friends. He was an extremely talented carpenter who customized his home adding his touch to every room. Jack was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend of so many. Jack was the life of the party, he was authentic and genuine with a fantastic sense of humor. He lit up a room simply by being in it. He spent endless hours doing yardwork, listening to music and perfecting his lawn. He was predeceased by his mother Eileen M. (nee Jaques) Harrington and a brother Robert Harrington.
Survivors include his beloved wife Barbara A. (nee Elmo) Harrington, his son Bryan P. Harrington of Lafayette, his daughter Leah K. and her husband Kenneth Sturchio of Stillwater, his granddaughter Isabella Sturchio, his father H. John “Jack” Harrington of Flanders, his sisters Sharon Skidmore and her partner Richard Brideau of Andover, Lori and her husband Scott Fisher of Greensboro, NC, Karen and her husband Levent Bayrasli of Lopatcong, NJ and Linda and her husband Kenneth “Clay” Coleman of Cazenovia, NY.
A ‘Celebration of Life’ will take place at a later date where he wanted everyone to raise a glass of their favorite drink in his memory and everyone goes ‘Dancin’ in the Light’.
