Jack Klopfer Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Jack Klopfer was just 17 years young when he died in a car accident on New Year’s Day 2022. The sudden and unexpected loss of this remarkable young man has left a huge void in the lives of his family and friends, and we are forever changed.
Jack was an extraordinary young man who was loved by so many. His family and friends remember him as being fun-loving, extra kind and always trying to make them smile.
Jack's whole family, in particular his mother, Chris Strong, has a deep love for animals, rescuing countless cats and dogs and giving them wonderful homes and lives. Like his mother, Jack had a great passion for animals, always caring for them with much love and kindness.
Most of all, Jack loved to hang out with his friends, and one of their favorite places to go was Mill Creek Park. There, they would ride their bikes, sail down the Greenway on skateboards, talk about life and just play around having fun.
I'm Kris Kaye, a close family friend and neighbor of Jack's family. I'm coordinating with Jack's family and friends to establish a memorial for Jack and working with Mill Creek Park to help us create a memorial site at one of Jack's favorite spots.
We plan to create a special place where Jack will always be remembered and where family, friends and visitors can rest and enjoy the park’s natural beauty. We will install benches with plaques honoring Jack, plant trees and create an area dedicated to preserving the environment and nurturing wildlife.
I'm raising these funds to help cover expenses for the following:
1. The memorial site at Mill Creek Park, with trees, benches (complete with concrete foundations), vegetation and plaques commemorating Jack's life.
2. A 'celebration of life' event for Jack to be held in a few months when his family and friends are ready.
3. A video eulogizing Jack's life, especially highlighting his recent experiences and adventures with his friends.
4. Any balance of funds raised will be donated to an animal-related charity in Jack's honor.
We are at the early stages of planning the memorial site and do not have an accurate budget to work with. For this reason, if there is a balance of funds raised and not used for the above purposes, it will all be donated to an animal-related charity or multiple animal-related charities.
Our goal will be to maximize the amount for the animal charities by efficiently managing and minimizing the memorial costs and expenses.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
