Hi, I’m Becca, the daughter of Jack Lilley.
Many of you know my dad as this strong, caring, honest, giving man. He was one who was always doing the yard work, kept the flowerbeds beautifully done, helped those who needed it and was one heck of a man. The best. He would and still would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
He handled all the house and yard repairs as needed and I watched and learned from him.
He would always make sure we had what we needed and then some.
He loved taking mom on vacations and spoiling her as a Queen should be.
His career was on the DPD for 33+ years and worked an extra job as security at Sewell. He would work every Sunday and all holidays so the other Officers could be with family, we had many Christmas’s at Sewell and man we miss those days. We miss a lot with him.
He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Bone Cancer. It has spread to his Scapula, Clavicle, Sternum, Ribs, Spine, Pelvis and both Femurs. It has now metastasized to all his vital organs and they are shutting down. This has rendered him in a way that we can’t even put into words.
He and I share a huge love for Jeeps. I have a 2016 JKU and every time we were out and about, all I hear is “hey, it’s a Jeep, look another Jeep, oh I like that Jeep”.
He passed away March 1, 2024.
We are doing this GoFundMe for our mom, to make sure she is ok when that time comes she can pay for what’s not covered by dads life insurance and if any repairs are needed at home she can afford them and any unforeseen expenses are covered.
If you can find it in your heart to help, we know she would be greatly appreciative and know that she won’t have a thing to worry about.
Thank you everyone for all the calls, messages and visits with dad and the family and foremost all the Prayers.
Thank you,
Rebecca Lilley
