Jack, Sean, & Billy's (4X4X48) Fundraiser

And we’re back! I want to thank everyone who donated last year, together we successfully raised $3,088 for the Alzheimer’s Association. This year not only will I be running in the race, but my brother Sean Cannon and my friend Billy Qu will be joining too! At 8:00PM on March 4th 2022, we will be participating in the 4X4X48 David Goggin's Race. This is a fundraiser where participants run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 straight hours. All the money raised will go directly to a fundraiser of our choice.

Billy and I will be joining Sean in Los Angeles, running/camping along the beach bike path of Venice Beach for the entirety of the race. I would like to give a special shoutout to Billy for training and running multiple runs with me last year during the fundraiser. This year, the three of us decided to select Hilarity for Charity (HFC) as our organization of choice. HFC is a nonprofit movement that is focused on caring for families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease today, activating the next generation of Alzheimer’s advocates, and being a leader in brain health research and education.

This year we will be running in honor of my Pop-Pop who passed away in June 2021 after battling with dementia for several years. His happy, contagious spirits throughout his fight display that the disease may affect the body and mind but, it certainly doesn't affect the soul. On a daily basis, you would catch him singing his favorite Pandora playlist, "The Rat Pack Radio" and on warm days out on the back porch with his shirt off tanning for hours. He was one of the strongest figures in both mine and Sean’s life.

The three of us plan to attack this race the same way individuals with Alzheimer's attack the disease, through the soul. We’re not running for ourselves, but for all those who wake up and are forced to battle the confusion of dementia daily.

With the timeline for the event closing in, we will post daily updates of our progress on our social media accounts as we continue to train to tackle this challenging race. Anybody who knows us understands how much this means to us, and any form of support is greatly appreciated. Donating, joining us for runs, and sharing this link are all excellent ways to get involved. 100% of all donations will go directly to HFC.
