Jackie and Friend's Fresh Start Fundraiser

Hi everyone, my name is Jackie Mills. I am trying very hard to come out of homelessness that wasn't my fault. I got deported from Canada. Now, after almost 6 months, I am finally finding some hope. This GoFundMe is to help me find and furnish an apartment for myself and my best friend who is still in Canada. She also has my dog, Tarna. I need to cover first and last month's rent plus a security deposit, and plane fare for her to come to America with my dog. Because she is being abused, we do not want to let her abuser know that she is not coming right back, so that's going to require a round trip ticket. I will also be needing two beds, a stove, and a refrigerator, possibly, because most places that we will be able to afford monthly do not have them. Plus, other furnishings for an efficiency apartment like lamps, pots and pans to cook in, cups, dishes, and silverware. I have also talked to an immigration attorney, and it costs around $5,000 for him to do everything that he needs to do to ensure that she can stay here. She can't go back to that kind of abuse. It's her story to tell, not mine, but I can say it's bad. So, this is to help get me back on my feet and get my best friend safe again. Anything that you all could do would be greatly appreciated. But I do need to get back to Ohio as soon as possible so that I can find an apartment that we can afford, which will probably be around the $600 a month mark. I also need clothes, and she will too, because she can't bring anything with her that will tip off her abuser. He has ordered her to drop off the dog, turn around, and come right back. So please help us. I know this sounds pathetic; I don't mean it to. I've never been homeless before, and I am frightened. Also the dog needs to go to the veterinarian before she leaves she has to be microchipped and be in accordance with Canadian laws because she's now over a year old. She also has to meet the requirements of a Canadian dog coming to America that means microchipping vaccinations and believe it or not her nails need to be trimmed because that's part of the requirements. She is a service dog and I really need to be with her.
