Jackie Goodman lost her beloved Jack

Jackie Goodman lost the love of her life, husband Jack Goodman, who had been incapacitated for several years following a stroke. Hospital stays and physical therapy, combined with Jackie giving up her job to care for Jack, have been devastating financially. Jackie was the longest-serving member of the Austin City Council and capped off her twelve years of council service as Mayor Pro Tem for several years. Unfortunately, council service was not well-paid and had no pension plan. Most of Jackie's career off the council was spent working with special-needs children at the Open Door Preschool. Jack and Jackie had a great love for Bartons Springs, and Jack served 22 years on the Edwards Underground Water District board. Above all, they had great love for each other. Please honor their years of service and love with your gift. Thank you.
