Our "Sunshine" has gone. To those of us who were blessed to have known Jackie, she was many different things to many different people. The common denominator was that she was one of the kindest, most giving person we had met.
From APC, Ikwe, the basketball family, the volleyball family, to everyone lucky enough to buy some of her baked goods, Jackie touched us all.
Her loss will be felt most deeply by her girls. She adored her girls, and was so very proud of them. I don't think I ever had a conversation with Jackie that didn't include her telling me about one of their many accomplishments.
The girls have lost their mother, their friend, their mentor. The future must certainly be scary for them right now. I'm asking for everyone who was touched by Jackie to help alleviate some of the financial burden for her children. We can't take the pain for them, but we may help to make the stress of paying for future expenses less.
Mama Bear has left us. She who cared and helped so many of our children needs us to step up now and help hers.
