Jackie McCarthy's Recovery Fund

Bravery and courage are often words associated with Cancer survivors, but Jackie McCarthy has taken these words to the next level.  Since being diagnosed with a large cancerous brain tumor in August 2010, she has been a true warrior.  Unlike most cancers, the plan for this tumor was to leave it inside her brain after they shrunk it with Chemotherapy.  Over the past 8 years, the plan has been to keep an eye on it and go about daily life.  So she has done just that, never missing a beat.  She has continued her community service, continued to work to support her family, and continued to be the one always thinking of others, despite a living with a diagnosis that many of us would find terrifying.  She is a true warrior and she needs us now.

 Jackie has recently found out that the tumor that has remained stable for the past 8 years, is no longer stable and needs to be removed.  This surgery will leave her unable to work through the recovery period and so it is now time for all of us to pitch in, as she has done for us so many times.  I ask that you give what you can and continue prayers for a full recovery, as she has been generous with all of us in her prayers and thoughtfulness.
