Jackie Sy Xiong Funeral Fund Raiser

To our beloved friends and family,
We write this with the heaviest heart to let you know that as of November 11th, 2021 Sy (aka "Jackie") Xiong devastatingly left us and has returned back home to heaven. Sy is a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, an aunt, a friend, but most importantly she is a fighter. She is light personified- burning brighter than the sun and all the night stars combined. There was no problem she couldn't solve- there was no mountain too high. With a heart bigger than her body, she let it lead the way.
In May 2021, Sy was unfortunately diagnosed with late stage two breast cancer. However, she wasn't going to let cancer define her- stop her from living HER life. She shed her tears, and then was ready to face the bull head on. Sy underwent multiple procedures ranging from receiving weekly fluids, receiving chemotherapy, to biopsies. She was determined to beat this. Though draining her physical strength, her body was responding well to treatment because Sy is strong in the real way.
Time was moving on, and hopes remained high. We were going to get through this and within a year or so everything would fall into place and return to normal. Sy would be a survivor. She would rejoice with her friends and family. She would find the peace and happiness she so badly deserved...
Sy received her last dosage of chemo, and was set to undergo surgery to remove the tumor on November 11th, 2021. A couple of vital tests later, nurses were rushing her to stay the night in the hospital. Her liver was inflamed with a white blood cell count below 1000, but what was deemed "fixable" was slowly becoming otherwise. She spent days and nights in the hospital, every day of her stay begging the doctors and nurses; "can I go home?" She wanted to be with her family, her family is everything to her (vice-versa). She remained inpatient in Froedtert's Advanced Care Center for a week and a half. Then one day I (her son) would receive a call from her saying "Hey can you grab me some pepto bismol and icy-hot after work? I'm home". Receiving this phone call was a huge weight off our shoulders because if she was home, she was better- right?
The next couple of days Sy would spend at home resting and recovering any lost strength. It wasn't until her next appointment that we would find out she had been worse than her initial leave from the hospital. She was readmitted. She was heavily medicated with pain relievers, zoning in and out, and yet she still somehow managed to muster the strength to tell her doctors "I want to be home. I need to be with my boys." They respected her wishes and were in the process of releasing her on hospice. Sy however, would never make it home. Her condition worsened and her liver was giving out- time was falling short. Her final days were spent in that hospital she dreaded so much.
She was called back home on November 11th, 2021 (the day she was to undergo surgery to remove the tumor).
Sy entered this world, human- and left, an angel.

Sy leaves behind her husband Xeng Vang and her seven boys (Dominique, Alexander, Antonio, Donovan, Andrew, Aiden, and Derrick), but just because she is not here does not mean she is gone. Her legacy lives within all the lives she has touched.
If you are in a position in which you can donate to Sy's funeral expenses it would be greatly appreciated. Your donations would exponentially help relieve our family during this disheartening and difficult time. Anything helps. It would mean the world to us, and most importantly her.
Thank you,
Sy's family.
