Jackie's Emergency Care

Hi, my name is Penny and I'm in an emergency situation with my dog, Jackie right now. He has begun coughing a lot so I took him to the vet yesterday. There are several scenarios that could be happening but and he said that he needs to do a chest x-ray, echocardiogram, and blood/urine panels. The cost for these tests is $2,600. As many of you, my sister passed away on 2/24/24 and being up in Modesto with her the last month of her life and taking care of her really hit me financially. And the grief that has followed has been more than I can bear sometimes. I have been able to work enough to pay for my basic bills but I don't have the money right now to cover Jackie's tests. His vet said that because he doesnt have a wet cough that's a good sign but because of his age he really needs to see whats going on in his lungs and heart. He can't prescribe him any medication until they know exactly what's going on.
