Hi my name is Isaac Thacker and me and my sister Bailey Thacker are making a Go Fund Me for our mom. She has spent the last many years sick from an immune deficiency. Her immunologist has suggested we throw all of our furniture away and move due to a mold outbreak that happened at our old house. She has been too sick to work even though she is one of the hardest workers I know and because of this has not been able to make any money. We found a home to rent for 6 months but due to my moms inability to work consistently we would greatly appreciate donations to cover our living expenses, items we need to replace, and medical treatment my mom needs.
I’m 2018, there was a leak in the apartment above us. This leak caused severe water damage in our apartment which eventually grew mold. This mold was what caused the upbringing of my moms health problems such as mass cell activation (which affects every organ in the body) and severe anemia. After countless encounters with doctors that couldn’t figure out what was wrong and hours of research she found out what was wrong with herself. She had figured out that she had mass cell activation, mold toxicity, and anemia that caused severe neurological issues. She figured out that she had had mass cell activation her whole life but the mold really brought it out and made it worse.
There was a remediation done on our bathroom and we had to be moved for a week into a hotel but without a remediation of the whole house to get rid of dead mold spores we could not be sure that we were completely safe. We were advised by doctors to move out of the house and throw away all of our stuff that could not be washed. We moved out of that house about a month and a half ago and have since moved into two hotels and two AirBNBs and are soon moving again into a more permanent home. After a lot of slow downhill progress she is now down to only a few foods she can eat and has few or no days where she is not feeling sick, tired, and fatigued. On top of all this she is dealing with long haul Covid after having it twice.
