Jackie's life changing rehab
Donation protected
Hello all, my name is Camille Vega. I am raising money in order to afford a private rehab program for my older sister, Jackie Berrio. Jackie has been homeless in the Fort Lauderdale area for over a year now and is losing her fight against drug addiction. Earlier this week, I flew Jackie up from Fort Lauderdale to join me in Atlanta where I currently live. We are looking into a state-funded detox program but would really like to place her in a private in-patient rehabilitation program for six months following her 30 days at detox. Unfortunately, I have very limited financial resources because I am 25 and only recently graduated from grad school. State-funded rehab programs are extremely limited, and located in city centers where homelessness and drug addiction run rampant. This creates a cycle of detox-> homelessness-> drug addiction -> back to detox -> back on the street and so on, for many of those on the streets. Jackie is really determined to change her life for the better and I'd love to give her a REAL chance of recovery in a top-notch rehab facility. Jackie and I have already lost one parent due to drug-related issues and we're determined to not lose another family member because of it. Please find it in your heart to help give Jackie, and our family, a fighting chance against drug addiction. Thank you and God Bless.
