Jacko's Journey

Jason Michael Reynoldson –Jacko, a year ago Jacko and his beautiful family moved to the Sunshine Coast Coolum Beach for sunshine, sand, surf and peace. On Thursday 6th July, Jacko’s daughter competed in the Qld Netball State Championships in Brisbane. As it was school holidays, all the family attended, except Jacko the bread winner stayed back to work with his father.
A phone call that would change your life was answered by Jacko's wife. An accident had happened.
Jacko was found unconscious after 10 hours accidental carbon monoxide poisoning. He had been charging a battery off a generator in a very well-loved shed. After fishing, he returned to his shed and less than 30 seconds of undetectable poison rendered him unconscious.
Jacko was rushed to hospital with angels keeping him alive, a decision was made “life” or “legs”. Jacko received a double leg amputation. Lives changed forever and a husband and father fighting for his life.
Our target is $150,000.
Jacko will remain in hospital indefinitely. He will require much support and medical equipment such as Wheelchairs, Prosthesis. He will require ongoing medical care, psychology, physiotherapy, orthopaedics etc. His family will also need assistance to get rehabilitation and many medical essentials, help with rent, school supplies, food, medical costs and everyday essential living expenses. It will potentially take pressure off them for 1 year. It's time to rebuild. Please give what you can. The cost of today's coffee or lunch, $5 or $10. Any amount will contribute to team Jacko. Thank you so much in anticipation!
Team Jacko and Jacko’s Angels are a few terms to describe a bucket full of love for a man whose smile lights up a world.
Jacko - Jason Michael Reynoldson, mate, friend, husband, uncle, son, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, grandson, a dad and a Brave heart. Jacko has had a life changing event and needs our help.
Jacko has a beautiful young family, his loving wife Tanaya and two children Jasmin (11) and Taj (8).
To have a role model like Jacko is a gift. A gift to ourselves and our children. He has a heart of gold, a hunger for life, a contagious spirit and as so many people have mentioned the ability to make you feel good about yourself.
That he is loved so dearly is so obvious by the way people have come together. By the amount of family, friends, cousins, kids and grandparents supporting each other in all but an icy ICU waiting room. This room has been filled with hope. Feeling helplessness but comforted by an energy of Jacko’s army is inspiring.
Jacko doesn’t dwell or complain, he thrives on challenges, he seeks adventure, he loves nature, music, beer, friends but most of all he loves his beautiful best friend and wife Tanaya and two gorgeous children Jazzy and Taj.
He is true BLUE(not NSW) AUSSIE and a Queenslander.
Jacko will always be the first to stop and help anyone (just try being bogged in front of or behind him). Now it’s time WE stop for Jacko, it’s time we have a convoy of 4WD’s, a convoy of mates, it’s time we support our mate Jacko.
His angels, his team, his friends, his family. We all collectively play a part in Jacko’s world. He calls us all a mate. We ask you, give what you can to this fund, nurture your friendship, live bravely and cherish each day. Live as Jacko does. With a spirit and soul that can only make you smile.
Jacko, we will continue to love and support you. We will sit with you when you need silence. We will laugh with you when you need joy. We will continue to be inspired by your determination and strength.
