Jacks World Scout Jamboree 2023

My name is Jack Kelf and I am 14 years old. I’m part of the 1st Norwich Sea Scouts,I have been part of this for over seven years.I enjoy every meetup because we do a wide variety of activities including water sports which is my favorite by far!

 

In September last year, every scout in Norfolk was given the opportunity to apply for the fifty-four places available to go to the 25 World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) which will be held in South Korea in 2023 . And I was lucky enough to be given one of the places in the WSJ .

I am a part of unit 25 nicknamed “The Bishy Barnabees” this is one of the two groups representing Norfolk.

 

The jamboree itself will be twelve days long(but we will be out of the country for twenty-one days) and full of new and different activities. There will be over 40,000 people from across the globe making it very interesting by experiencing different cultures and making long term friends as well as giving me many new skills because the motto for the Jamboree is “Think Big, Dream Wild, Act Together”.
