Jackson Reavis Funeral and hospital fund
Donation protected
Monday June 10th Jackson Reavis was riding his motorcycle 3 blocks from home passing through the intersection of 75th and 35th and was hit by a truck. Medics on site resuscitated him twice and he was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Nicole Van Borkulo, his mom, Jimmy Reavis, his dad, and his younger brother Eiseley Reavis all rushed to the hospital. For two days he lay in ICU where they finally determined he no longer had any brain activity. Jackson Reavis is an organ donor. Jackson is the perfect organ donor. Healthy, young, and despite the life ending impact he is still in relatively good shape. The opportunity to make a difference in other’s lives has given some solace to the family but has prolonged Jacksons stay in ICU while they line up the donor families. At the time you are reading this page, this immediate story has passed. What comes next is where you can make a difference.
Nicole, Jimmy and Eiseley have been so gracious as they let Jackson’s family and friends filter through the hospital and say goodbye to Jackson. Sweet, handsome, smart, Jackson whose smile could light up a room. We will all miss him greatly.
Now, painfully and diligently they will plan a memorial and go back to their lives. This will include, and surely not be limited to, a pile of bills as they sort through hospital invoices, memorial service costs and for Nicole and Eiseley finding a rental with a little distance from the accident (not 3 blocks away)
Not having enough money to do these necessary things will be an added stress and worry. We have an opportunity to help with that. Although it’s hard to determine what those expenses will ultimately be it seems reasonable to try to raise $50,000 towards this burden. If feedback over the next week or so seems to indicate the hospital expenses are going to be way in excess of that amount we will adjust the goal. Thanks to all that can help and thanks to all who have supported Nicole, Jimmy and Eiseley by being there during this difficult time.
Gratefully, a family member.
