Jackson's Ridge Children's camp

Please help us to bring as many street kids as we can to camp, so our Creator can do His magic and start the transformation in their lives, so they in turn can help share his love with others and assist in their transformations.  With your help we can together start the ripple affect that will be generational!  The camp will take place Mid January 2020 and our goal is to take 125 of GOD's kids.  The cost per
child is $100 a very small investment for GOD's kingdom.  We would like to have the majority of funds raised by the end of November 2019 so our team can prepare for their transportation, activities, and food.

Camp season is our favorite time of the year.  It’s when we are fortunate enough to see young lives completely transformed in 1 weekend.  We have been doing Kid’s camps here at Jackson’s Ridge South Africa for the last 10 years.  Time after time we hear stories of lives that have been completely changed after attending a camp.  This last weekend was no different.  As I sat and watched a group of kids go through an activity, I had the opportunity of chatting to their leader.  20 Years old, passionate about children and an incredible young man.  I was amazed to learn that he attended a Jackson’s Ridge camp 10 years ago at the age of 10 years old.   He told me that at that camp, he had really met with God.  When he returned home, he said that the desire to follow the Lord was so strong.  He went on to tell me that when his friends wanted him to join them in doing “naughty stuff” he stood up against them and told them that He now lives for the Lord and he won’t be joining them.  He longed to return to camp the following year and was fortunate enough to attend for 3 years. Those years, he said, completely changed his life.  The saddest time of his life was when he was told that he had aged out and could not attend any more.  Right then, he made a decision to serve in the children’s ministry so that he could become a leader and bring other children to experience what he had.
 
We would like to bring other children to camp at JR (as the locals call it.)  We mostly reach out to children who would normally never have the opportunity to attend a camp in their life time.  Children from townships and villages whose only hope of success in life is to have a turn-around point.  Dan and Gina Streit have raised funds to bring 120 children to camp every year for the last 3 years and they are preparing to do it again.  Just $100 pays for the whole package. 
 
** This time we are hoping to bring a group of children from 8 - 12 years old who attend a government boarding school in the North West District of SA.  The majority of these children are AIDS orphans.  Their extended families do not want to take care of them after their parents die, or many of their family members have also died, so the government place them in this school.  We call them the forgotten children of South Africa.  We have been working with a Pastor in the area who has come alongside the school and is working with them to assist with the care of these broken and neglected children.  When the children return, she will continue the work and follow up on them. 
 
Our hope is that we could bring as many children as we can to camp in January of 2020. We are a non-profit organization who works tirelessly to change children’s lives.  Each camp runs at 120 children.  You can choose to cover a full camp at $12,000 or an individual child too.  No amount is too Small – it all adds up and helps us to make it happen!
