Thank you for your support!
As most of you know, on July 23rd (while in Michigan), Jackson was involved in a serious accident. He was riding a dirt bike (with his helmet and goggles on) with Brooke and some friends when he was hit by a car. He suffered multiple injuries. He has a fractured skull, leg, hand, ankle and facial fractures around his right eye. At the time of the accident he was active, struggling/fighting, screaming (obviously) and that is a good sign rather than him being unconscious at the beginning. The primary focus at this time is to alleviate the pressure and swelling in his brain. In order to do this he has been placed in a drug induced coma. This will allow his brain to relax and "chill" as one doctor put it. Right now we are still in a "wait and see" mode. We are just going hour by hour and day by day. He is being monitored around the clock by a wonderful team of doctors and personnel at Helen Devos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan. We anticipate being here for 2-3 weeks. We are humbled by the outpouring of love and support we have received. Please continue to keep Jackson in your prayers.
