I have recieved permission from Chelsea to create a Gofundme page on behalf of the Jackson/Groff family.
In 2011, the Jackson/Groff families' lives were turned upside down when Mr. Glenn Jackson was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, or ALS. Since his diagnosis, their family has faced many obstacles.
Chelsea has put her career on hold to act as Mr. Jackson's caretaker while Justin and Regina are working. Chelsea herself, was diagnosed years ago with Chrons Disease and sometimes has difficulty performing her duties as caretaker.
The past few years have been filled with multiple hospital stays, and countless doctors appointments for every member of the Jackson and Groff families, with the exception of Justin and Abby, for various illnesses and diagnosis including an inoperable blood clot in the brain, a mini stroke, subacute hypersensitive numophis, and masses in the lungs.
Most recently, the family has lost their home, furniture, appliances, and some of Glenn's medical equipment to an overwhelming infestation of black mold.
While their community is helping in whatever ways they can, there is still a growing need for monetary assitance to help cover medical bills, furniture, and any other ins and outs of everyday life.
It is the family's hope that they will be approved for a new home to be built by Habitat for Humanity so they can start their new lives in a clean, healthy, ADA compliant home.
