My sister in law Cari Cockman, and I decided to make a go fund me for some of our very close friends.
Please read!
Megan had to take Jackson to the doctor on Monday (3/17/25) as he had been running a fever since Saturday (3/15/25) and complaining of his belly hurting. The doctor did an ultrasound and saw a blockage and thought constipation, so she then had Megan double him up on miralax to try to pass it and help him go to the bathroom. Megan took Jackson back to the doctor on Wednesday (3/19/25) and they saw it hadn’t moved. Megan said Jackson’s PCP Dr. Nolen set them up for an x ray at children’s for Friday (3/21/25).
Fast forward to Friday (03/21/25). Nick took Jackson to his x ray appt at 8:00am. They hadn’t really gotten any answers, and the x ray tech kindly told Nick he should call his wife and have her come to the hospital. On Megan’s way up, Dr. Nolen called Megan and told her they found two masses on not one, but both of Jackson’s kidneys and stated they didn’t know if they were cancerous or not. Jackson is 1 in 10 of having this tumor on BOTH kidneys. After staying at children’s all day, running CT, and blood work they found that Jackson’s two masses are cancerous. The tumors are consistent with Wilms tumors, and it has also spread to his lungs. They did an MRI on (3/22) to see if it has spread more in his lungs due to not being able to capture the full chest in the CT performed previously. This sweet innocent almost 3 year old baby has cancer. They started his first round of chemo on 03/24/25. Jackson will have 12 rounds of chemo, checking around the 6th week to see if it is working and shrinking the tumors. Jackson did have some of the side effects after his first round of chemo, but little man is still trying to be his spunky, happy self. I’m making this in hopes that everyone would donate to help them financially. It doesn’t just have to be for medical bills. They are average people like us, we all have bills, house, vehicles, groceries, gas, daycare expenses, insurance, along with their other two children that they also support. They will have so many more medical bills for Jacks upcoming treatments and hospital stays. I am hoping this will not only help with their medical bills, but household bills as well. Or truly anything they need. Nick will be the only one working right now. I am hoping everyone will contribute to help them as best as they can. Pray, think, keep them in your thoughts. I promise anything helps and they are the most appreciative people I know. Thank you so much.
