Hi, my name is Teequa. I am a family friend to Jaclyn Whitlock Please join me in helping Jaclyn and her family to pay the medical bills and expenses that have and will continue to pile up! Jaclyn and Jaden will have many more months of doctor appointments and therapy to recover from this traumatic experience!

Jacyly and baby Jadens story. 

Jaclyn got sick in December and at 4am on the 16th her husband had to call for an ambulance since she was fighting so hard to breath. The scariest part was she was 29 weeks pregnant and it was not only dangerous for her but also her precious baby boy Jaden!

She was taken to a Lee’s Summit hospital but then moved to St Luke’s Plaza in KC because they specialized in pregnant mama’s. She was quickly intubated and put on the ventilator to save her and her baby.

Jaclyn was in the hospital for 39 days total and in that time her husband was told a few times to prepare himself to lose her. While she was in ICU they decided to do a tracheotomy and that is when she made her biggest steps toward recovery. Baby Jaden was so strong throughout the time in the hospital and almost made his appearance several times. He was born January 13 at 33 weeks and immediately take to the Nicu where he stayed for 29 days. Jaclyn was released 10 days after he was born and while she was better she has a very long road of recovery!

She has been through physical and occupational therapy to relearn to do all the things we all take for granted everyday. This has been a very hard and humbling road that she has to journey through while trying to care for 3 young children.

She is still very week and gets tired quickly not able to do regular household chores that we take for granted. She wants to feel like her old self but gets reminded that she is just not there. Jaden was released with a heart/ lung monitor and has thankfully outgrown his premie apnea.
