In loving memory of Jaclyn Elmquist
Donation protected
The Elmquist and Horst families want to express their gratitude for the support they have received in the last two weeks for their beloved Jaclyn Rose. In addition, they want to thank all those who loved and supported Jaclyn during her twenty-four years of beautiful life.
On December 6th, Maddy Elmquist, Jackie’s beloved sister, shared this statement:
“It is with broken hearts that my family, loved ones, and I share that our Jaclyn Rose passed away. Her 24 years were filled with love, adventure, academia, art, and laughter. How we will miss her quirky, little laugh — our favorite sound. Words cannot express our devastation, nor can they convey how truly grateful we are for all those who showed her love and kindness. Please remember our brilliant, creative, adventurous, beautiful girl for who she is, not the circumstances of her passing. She is neither news articles nor broadcasts (with blatantly false information therein). She is not even her outstanding accomplishments. Jackie is a light, the purest soul, whom we will miss for the rest of our lives. Please respect me, my family, and our loved ones during this time.”
Money donated to this fund will be used to support her loved ones while they lay Jaclyn to rest and handle her affairs. In the event of excess funds, a scholarship will be set up in Jaclyn’s name.
The process of coordinating her service for after the holidays is still ongoing. The family will share the details once they are finalized and this page will be updated.
