My name is Christine Bettencourt and I am raising funds on behalf of my younger brother, Jacob Bettencourt.
Yesterday on February 10th Jake was in a serious car accident where he was pinned between his work truck and another vehicle.
The accident has resulted in multiple injuries; the most serious of which being that both of his legs are broken and ACL's/MCL's/PCL's are all torn.
His injuries will require multiple surgeries (the first of which he had today), skin grafts and months of physical rehabilitation.
Since Jake is a roof inspector by trade, he will be out of work until fully recuperated and whether he will be eligible for disability is currently unknown.
At this time, we are trying to prepare for the months to come and have been asked by friends, family and coworkers how they can help.
What comes to mind is continuous well wishes and any kind of support; as Jake is a father and provider of two daughters.
