Jacob Fisher Accident Fund
Donation protected
On Friday, April 13th, our friend & co-worker, Jacob Fisher, was involved in a horrific vehicle accident leaving him severely injured. Details from his family are included below. In this time, we want to rally around Jacob, his lovely wife Loren and their precious 3 yr old daughter, Malley Kait.
We know that those who have worked with him, those who may never have met him but are brother/sister inspectors, or those in the O&G industry as well as friends & family will want to contribute, so please share this page far/wide through your social media. Our industry shows its true heart as word spreads & others donate.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Above all, your prayers are treasured.
Thanks in advance for your support of Jacob and his sweet family.

On Friday, April 13, 2018, Jacob Fisher, a 32 year old loving husband and father, was involved in a tragic car accident, 800 miles from home that would suddenly and unexpectedly change his life. As a result of this accident, Jacob sustained numerous fractures, including his skull, clavicle, cervical and lumbar spine, sternum, multiple ribs, and both femurs. He was taken to a local hospital in Pecos, Texas where he was later airlifted to another facility in Odessa. One of the worst injuries included his two shattered femurs. The following morning, Jacob underwent a 5 hour surgery to repair his broken legs. He was kept in trauma ICU for 3 nights where he was closely monitored until he was stable enough to be moved to a regular room. Although he is now considered stable, Jacob has a very long road to recovery ahead of him. He will have to wear an Aspen collar for at least 3 months until his cervical spine injury heals. Doctors are still unsure if he will have to undergo any other surgeries to repair his displaced collar bone. Because of the extensive damage to his legs, Jacob will be non-weight bearing for an extended period of time, which means he won’t be able to stand. Once his legs have completely healed, Jacob will start extensive rehabilitative therapy to learn to walk again. Although some injuries have been repaired, Jacob is considered bed-ridden and is totally dependent on someone helping him with his activities of daily living, even with the smallest tasks. His wife, Loren, has been by his side since the day after the accident. Because she has to stay in Texas and care for him, she has taken a leave from work. It is unknown when Jacob will return to work, as his body must completely heal. Not only do Loren and Jacob have monthly bills that they are responsible for, they also have a 3 year old daughter, Malley Kait, to care for. And because of this horrible accident, they will now have unexpected medical expenses. All of these tasks will be difficult to handle as both will be out of work for an unknown period of time. We know that this family will be forever grateful for whatever donation you are able to make.
