Jacob Hogue’s Medical Expenses

Jacob was involved in a very bad car accident the other night. He is at Regional One, I haven’t been able to see him yet. He is awake and talking, all of his injuries are orthopedic thank God but his hip is broke, he has a special break in his hand/arm, and they told me his ankle is broke. He is supposed to have surgery on his arm sometime today, I won’t be able to see him until after surgery and I’m only allowed the day that he has surgery, and that’s it. I can’t see him anymore after that. He is also supposed to have surgery Monday on his hip. I don’t know a whole lot right now, since I haven’t been to the hospital. I will post updates on this post. Anything could help and is appreciated even just sharing the post. He doesn’t have health insurance, and he’s not going to be able to work for awhile. We’ll have to be living off just my income for awhile, and on top of all of this we have a baby boy due in July.
Update 4/16: I spoke with the Nurse Practitioner, she made me aware of everything that is broke/fractured. He has a acetabular fracture on the right side which is his hip, the top of his right foot is broke, the heel of his right foot is broke pretty bad. He also has a fractured vertebrae but they said they aren’t too worried about it because it’s just one and will heal on its own. He’s been sleeping a lot today, since they have finally been able to get him comfortable.
Update 4/17: I spoke with his nurse he had overnight, he had a lot of pain at first but they were able to get him comfortable and gave him a little bit more medicine. After that he had a pretty good night and was able to sleep. As of right now they are still planning on doing surgery Monday. Not much of an update because nothing has really changed. We do appreciate everyone and everything, we do ask everyone continue to still pray for him and the long road to recovery he has.
Update 4/18: There’s not much of an update right now, nothing has really changed. He had a better night tonight, his pain hasn’t been too bad today from what they have told me. They did take him down for an ultrasound to make sure he didn’t have any blood clots in his leg, which everything looked good. That’s all I really have right now.

Update 4/19: They’re doing surgery this morning on his hip.
Update: They are getting ready to close him up, and take him down for X-ray and move him to recovery. I can see him hopefully about 2, they said he did good during surgery. Everyone please continue to pray for him and our family. We appreciate everything
Update: he was still in some pain, he couldn’t get comfortable, his nurses couldn’t allow him to lay on his back due to needing to turn so he doesn’t get sores. He wasn’t the happiest about that. Hopefully they’ll be able to find a comfortable position for him, I wish I could’ve stayed longer today. I do not know when I’ll get to see him again. I already miss him like crazy, it was very hard to leave him like that. We definitely still need all the prayers we can get, he has a long road to recovery.
Update 4/21: Update on Jacob: he’s having surgery on his foot today at about 12 they said it should about an hour and hour an a half. He will have surgery Friday on his arm. We need all the prayers today❤️
Update 4/29: Jacob finally got to come home yesterday, we got him all settled in and starting to learn how to do things since this will be our new for awhile! We are so thankful for all the prayers and everyone who has helped us out.
