Jacob “Jake” Ebersole, 34, was taken unexpectedly from his family and friends on August 15, 2017.
He was born in Altoona, PA. Jake was a 2001 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School, and in 2004, he graduated from Mount Aloysius College with a degree in nursing.
On June 24, 2006, he married Sarah E. Barnes and together had three daughters: Makenzie, 10, Cara, 8, and Bailey, 2.
He has worked at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD in the CV/ICU the past 3 years. He was voted Nurse of the Year for 2016 by his peers.
He was a member of Mount Hope United Church of Christ in Blue Knob, PA. He was an AYSO soccer coach, and he enjoyed athletic activities with his girls and friends.
In the words of Jake's manager,"He was an excellent clinician and beloved colleague. He touched the lives of many patients with his skill and compassion."
His premature passing has left us stunned and he will forever be in our hearts.
The funds collected will go to Jake's wife Sarah, and their 3 daughters.
