525,600 minutes- how do you measure a year in the life?  Measure in LOVE...

Sunday, March 17, 2019, a day Jacob and his family will never forget.  The day their lives changed.... forever.

Jacob (a.k.a.  J-Bone), had been suffering from intermittent right leg pain for the last few months.  As a typical healthy 11 year-old boy, he had been diagnosed with growing pains by his pediatrician, which is very common.    After an unimaginable evening of extreme pain on Saturday, March 16th, Jacob's parents took him to get an xray of his leg.  They  were sent immediately to CHOP's ER and learned that Jacob actually had a very rare form of bone cancer, called Ewing's Sarcoma.  Jacob is now known as their "Ewing's Sarcoma Warrior" and YOU are his army.

And so, their journey has begun.  Starting at the lowest of the low, Jacob and his family are positive that this is a battle they will win.

Jacob's treatment plan will extend at a minimum, over a year.  That consists of 14 rounds of chemotherapy, a major orthopedic surgery half way through the chemo, and extensive physical therapy with associated medical costs.

This site has been created to allow those of you who want to help Jacob and his family, a means to do so.  Thank you all for you love, support, and kindness.  It's time to kick this cancer in the butt!!! One treatment, one day at a time!   GO JACOB!!!!!!!
