Jacob Reed Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Jacob, a beloved son, brother, friend and talented worker, was in a car accident on February 12th of this year. Jacob suffered from pelvic injuries, spinal injuries, internal bleeding, and many other significant issues.
Jacob's accident occurred in Kennewick, WA. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, he had to be airlifted to Harbor View Hospital in Seattle, WA, where he received multiple surgeries and spent 42 days in the hospital.
Jacob is now back home in Iowa, still recovering. He goes to physical therapy twice a week. We hope Jacob can fully recover and begin to do daily tasks on his own. Our primary focus is to get him healed so he can one day return to his normal life. Jacob was heavily motivated to start his own excavating company, that was why he was out west working, to make money to fund his dreams.
Due to insurance issues in Washington some of the medical expences were not covered such as the air lift to get to Seattle, the air lift alone exeeds $50,000. We are not trying to erase his medical debt completly but make it managable.
Anything helps in this horrible situation, and this massive debt over our heads is not helping us. Jacob is strong and fighting the physical and mental hurdles he is facing.
