Jacob Zeller Accident Fund

Hi! My name is Kris Winkelman-Olson. My stepson, Jacob Zeller was in a hiking accident this past weekend. He fell when a ledge near a waterfall gave way. It took 8 EMT's to get him up 10 feet and to Aurora Hospital in Green Bay. In ER, the doctors determined his had broken two bones in his lower leg (both the tibia and the fibula, along with knee injury). Jake is will scheduled for surgery next week. The surgery may involve both pins and rods to stabilize the bones. Jake will be out of commission for 4 to 6 months due to this injury. Jake has been working 3 jobs, and now is unable to work due to the broken bones in his leg. He did not have health insurance, but was able to work with the hospital social worker, and had been granted access to Medicaid for this situation. However, during time between surgery and physical therapy and recovery, Jake will not be able to work. He needs assistance with monthly bills including rent and utilities and any medical expenses not covered by Medicaid. Anything that anyone can contribute would be so very much appreciated. It's a very rough situation for this wonderful young man. Many of you knew his father, and I know Lee would be grateful for any assistance you could provide for his son, since he is no longer with us, and able to do so. Thank you!!!!
