Jacob Phillip Dentinger, age 22, of Farmington, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 12, 2020, after a courageous 2-1/2 year battle with Glioblastoma.
Survived by the love of his life Elizabeth Sanders; parents Paul and Sue (Edgerton); brother Lucas and his dog Izabel. Also survived by grandparents Barbara Edgerton, Gordon and Susan Dentinger; aunts and uncles Steve and Cindy Edgerton, Brian and Kristi Dentinger; cousins Connor, Cameron, Bryant, Kelsey, Mikaela, Caleb, Gunnar, Karson and a heart full of other devoted relatives and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents Barbara Dentinger, Don Edgerton and his buddy Uncle Del Sachwitz.
Jacob loved many things including hunting and fishing, baseball and being an Eagle Scout. He was especially passionate about his music, as he was a talented drummer and musician. JD was a 2016 graduate of Farmington High School and at the time of his diagnosis was attending The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire where he was majoring in instrumental music education.
JD had a presence about him. He could talk to anyone and he inspired others through his kindness and positive spirit. His honesty, integrity, compassionate attitude and unwavering faith were unmatched and he took pride in everything he did. JD never complained, he projected only gratitude for the gift of life, despite all the reasons that he had to be angry at the hand he was dealt. He always reminded us that everything works itself out; he was a really good human.
We want to thank our family, friends and community who cared for and supported JD through his illness. Our gratitude to the staff at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics, especially Dr. Elizabeth Neil.
