Jacob's Battle Against Leukemia

Hello, my name is Jason Givens, I am

Jacob's uncle.

 

On June 16, 2022, Jacob was taken to the ER for a non-resolving rash, and there he was presumed to have leukemia. He was life-flighted with his mother (Kyla) to Dornbeckers hospital in Portland, where it was diagnosed and confirmed to be B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He has immediately started treatment. He has been a rockstar, and his strong loving heart has stood fast through it all. Jacob has a long and harsh road a head of him, filled with multiple twists, turns, and not knowing what lies around the next corner. With all that being said, Kyla intends to remain right by Jacob's side, to take care of his needs, to support him, because of this she won't be able to work. As we know, life does not stop for illness or trauma, and bills never stop. Unfortunately, Jacob is five hours from his home in Klamath falls. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, no visitor or in person support is allowed. We are doing everything we can to keep Kyla afloat as she helps her son survive. We are asking for your Help. No amount is too small.

 

 

Jacob also has a beautiful sister (JoAnn) who has not spent more than a day away from her brother. She is having a difficult time being separated from her mom and brother. We ask for your prayers as we tread through these unknown waters.
