Jacob’s Journey to New, Healthy Lungs

Hi everyone, I'm Monique and I’m doing this fundraiser for my friend/roommate Jacob. Jacob is one of the best people I know. He loves helping his friends and family and will do just about anything to make the people he loves happy. Unfortunately, he’s been fighting emphysema for several years, and it’s gotten pretty bad now. He has constant pain and tightness in his chest and breathing is becoming harder. Recently, his lung specialist in St. Louis decided to push through a referral for him to receive a lung transplant. So, the week of January 8th-12th, he’ll have to go St. Louis for a series of tests to evaluate him for surgery. This means that he’ll be out of work for that entire week and will have to pay for a hotel for several nights. Also, if he passes the evaluation and they proceed with surgery, he’ll be out of work for a few months. And as we all know, bills don’t stop just because the money does.
