Jacob’s Medical Bills for Kidney Transplant

On December 14th, 2020 at the age of 22 Jacob was admitted into the hospital due to extremely elevated blood pressure. About a week later, he was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, a disease that targets the kidneys producing too much protein in the urine. With less than 200,000 cases a year in the United States, this disease is considered rare. This disease laid in wait, deciding to hit him hard at once and shortly after the diagnosis it was declared that his kidneys were failing.

Jacob was placed on a slew of medications, and nightly at home dialysis. Now, in May of 2023 Jacob is just a few steps away from being placed on the Transplant list with the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida.

Once Jacob receives a Transplant he will have to stay at an outpatient center in Jacksonville for two months to make sure his body takes to the new kidney.

As everyone knows, Insurance helps but they don’t cover everything. This Go Fund Me is set up to help raise money for Jacob’s medical expenses cause as you all know it can be tough in todays economy! Jacob has been one of my best friends since Freshmen year of high school. He has been there for me through everything so now we want to help him as much as we can!
