Jacoby & his family
Donation protected
One of our sweet ACES second-grade students, Jacoby, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. He has B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently undergoing treatment at Duke Hospital. At this point, his care team is unsure how long he will be at Duke and is waiting to see how his body responds to treatments.
Jacoby is a friend to all, and his entire class would tell you how kind he is. He attended school virtually for the past two years and was nervous about coming to the classroom - but his class has welcomed him with open arms. Jacoby fits right in and has made so many friends because of his easygoing and sweet nature.
Jacoby's mother passed away when he was in kindergarten, and his grandparents are raising Jacoby and his four sisters. All of the children are ACES students (Lyricc - 5th grade, twins Nae'sha and Ny'lah - 3rd grade, and MiKayla - kindergarten). As a school, we would love to show our support for Jacoby, his sisters, and his grandparents during this what we can only expect will be a tough season.
The money raised from this fundraiser will go towards Jacoby's health and medical expenses, general living expenses for the family, items to cheer up the kids, and anything that might come up in the next few challenging months ahead. Their family needs will likely change as they navigate this cancer journey. Donating to this fund is such an important way to assist this amazing family.
Jacoby's family is incredibly grateful for the love and support from the Gator community. And we are hoping that each day brings Jacoby a little more strength, determination, and healing.
